How it Works

Stage 1 - Schedule Discovery Session.

The first exciting step to getting your strategic marketing activities on track is to order a discovery session with us. Once this is done, we’ll send you a link to our booking calendar, where you can lock in your session.

The sessions take up to four hours to complete, so make sure you are free and available during that period. We know that four hours is a long time to be away from your business, so if you need to have a shorter session, that’s fine – book in the first session and if you can’t make the whole 4 hours, we’ll schedule a follow up time that suits both parties.

Stage 2 - Preparation.

Preparation is key to a healthy, in-depth discovery session.

The most important information to have handy is the key facts about your business that will not be available to the public*. We will be asking you questions about your revenue, lifetime customer value, sales volumes, UVP, strengths, weaknesses, targets and more. But don’t worry, we don’t expect you to have all the answers! If we are missing information, we’ll schedule a follow-up session.

The more information you can share on your business and financial operations, the better we will be able to formulate a strategic, actionable marketing plan. Also, don’t forget to write down all creative marketing ideas you’ve been thinking about – we can delve into them and discuss the pro’s and con’s of execution.

Stage 3 – The Discovery Session.

So you’ve got your discovery session booked and you’ve prepared as much information as possible – great! It’s time to share that information with one of our consultants. We’ll go through our 255 point checklist with you. There will be many questions that we will flesh out in further detail and some we will just glance over (if they are irrelevant for your business).

Again, If you don’t have all the information on hand, don’t worry! That’s what these audits are about. Finding out what information and metrics you should be tracking, so you can be better prepared to grow your business in leaps and bounds.

Stage 4 – Presentation of Marketing Audit and Plan.

Get excited! This is where we will present our findings to you. We will talk through marketing opportunities that will help generate new business, grow your brand and make your customers sing your praises.

The session will take up to two hours and we will go through the presentation with a fine tooth comb to ensure you understand the how and what of the plan.

Stage 5 -  Take Action

The ball is now back in your court. You can choose to action all items on our report in-house, you can outsource marketing work to Buck The Trend for us to project manage on your behalf or you can choose independent or pre-existing contractors to execute the plan.
